Interview only the people worth meeting We do the vetting up front
Every applicant sends a resume and a 90-second video. You get a ranked shortlist with the reasoning behind every score, instead of a pile of applications.
How hiring works on SoundByte
From job post to hire, with every step built around getting to the right people faster.
Post your role
Describe the job and what good looks like.
Candidates apply
Each sends a resume and a 90-second video.
Review a ranked list
Every applicant is scored, with the reasons shown.
Interview and check references
Your finalists' references each record a 90-second video.
Hire and keep your bench
The rest of your shortlist is saved by role for your next opening.
Hiring is about people. We keep it that way.
No AI video interviews. Candidates never talk to a bot. AI helps with the vetting, people do the interviewing, and you make every hiring decision.
Built for people on both sides of the hire
Fewer good people lost to filters
Keyword filters screen out qualified candidates for the wrong reasons. SoundByte looks at the whole application.
Scores you can explain
See why one candidate ranks above another, not just a number.
A bench that pays off next time
Strong candidates you didn't hire stay organized by role, ready for your next similar opening.
Founder, SoundByte
Hi, I'm Liz.
I've spent my career in rooms where judgment matters. I worked in enterprise sales, including at Cisco, served with Canada's Foreign Affairs, and spent about a decade living and working in conflict-affected environments abroad.
I built SoundByte after seeing what broken hiring costs people. In conversations with recruiters, hiring managers and candidates, the same story kept coming up: good people filtered out by keyword systems, and employers still buried in poor fits.
SoundByte puts the hard vetting at the start, so the interviews you do run are with people worth meeting.
For small and mid-sized employers in Canada and the United States.
